3D Animation

This program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of 3D computer-based modeling and animation utilizing the latest in high-end computer workstations. The emphasis of the program is on learning the tools to problem solve, and to create finished portfolio projects using Maya animation software.

Brand Management

A brand resides in the minds of consumers. It is developed over time through the actions and interactions of firms, consumers, and other market participants. Brand Management involves analyzing all aspects of a brand and then devising a strategic brand plan in order to build brand equity. Brand Managers are responsible for not only sales and profitability for their brand, but also for building brand equity and value over time. All brands need to be managed - both in the product and service sector.
This program will focus on providing students with the skills and knowledge required to develop and execute a successful brand strategy. Pivotal to effective brand strategy is a strong customer focus, an analytical orientation and an interactive approach. All of these elements will be incorporated into this program. A variety of instructional styles are used, with a heavy emphasis on case study and field work. Students in this program have prior training/education/experience in one or more of marketing, sales, psychology, economics, management, or mathematics. Students are encouraged to leverage this prior education and experience as they work together to develop strategy.

Business

The flexibility of these internationally recognised programmes affords students the opportunity to study core business modules and provides them with key business skills and knowledge needed as a foundation for building a career in global employment markets. Business Essentials

The Business Essentials program provides students with a comprehensive overview of U.S. management practices and skills. The efforts of a team of business professionals provide quality instruction in a highly interactive format. Designed to provide a comfortable learning environment for international participants with limited work experience, the program presents opportunities for enrollees to compare and contrast business practices around the globe.
This full-time program is designed for pre-professionals who have little work experience and wish to obtain a basic introduction to American business practices.

Business Management

The Professional Certificate in Business Management is one of the most popular and widely recognized of the UCSD certificate programs. Students choose the 2-quarter or 3-quarter option, with an emphasis in General Business (pre-MBA), Marketing, Human Resources, or Finance. Students earn a professional certificate in Business Management with selected emphasis after completion of the 2-quarter program. Upon successful completion of their third quarter, students receive a certificate of completion in their area of emphasis.. Students qualify to apply for Optional Practical Training after 3 consecutive quarters of successful study.

Fashion Design Course

This course offers students the opportunity to complete their fashion education in limited time. During eight months of classes, students will learn how to design collections and manage research, creativity and marketing. Your programme begins with the development of a personal sketching language. Then you will learn how to discipline your creativity to fit the marketplace and fulfill consumers' demands.
Through pattern making techniques, students will understand the various aspects of production and work according to the correct design process. Finally, students will design collections for several men's and women's lines. And all this in an environment and in three cities, Milan, Paris and London, where one breathes fashion and design on a daily basis

Game and Animation

This program is designed to give students the skills to develop game art using computer based software. Techniques such as modeling, animation, texturing and game engine integration will be covered using the latest high-end computer hardware and software.
The emphasis of the program is on learning the tools to develop amazing game art and to incorporate that art into real-time environments using 3D Studio Max, 2-brush and other game development tools.

Global Logistics and Supply chain Management

Building upon the previous experience and/ or education of the students, this program will provide an intensive and co-ordinated approach to study the flow of goods and services from raw material suppliers to the final customer. This product flow will be reviewed from a global perspective thus providing the student with a comprehensive understanding of the international business process.
Students in this program will be given the opportunity to go on field trips and network with members of the Canadian Association of Supply Chain and Logistics Management.

Students in this program will be afforded the opportunity to travel internationally, to network in international arenas and to participate in global competitions.

Marketing Management

This program is designed for individuals who have graduated from a degree or diploma program or have work experience and are looking to gain skills in marketing to further their careers and expand their options for employment opportunity.
Students build on their prior education and experience by learning how to apply marketing concepts and techniques. This 28-week intense program will provide students with the skills and knowledge involved in understanding the marketing mix to develop marketing plans and managing marketing activities. The program addressed key areas that include marketing research techniques, how to launch a new product or service, market segmentation techniques, pricing strategies, promotion and communications strategies, generating new accounts and sales revenues, and strategic market planning.
Studies in Marketing Management are offered at the Markham Campus located at Highway 404 and Highway 7. This newly designed campus includes a Business Research and Intelligence Centre and a Marketing Media Production Studio. The Markham campus is equipped with the state of the art technology and wireless internet service.

Project Management: Environmental

This program is designed to prepare students for project development and management in both the environmental and civil engineering industries. It enables students from these disciplines to gain highly desirable management skills and knowledge, and complete a graduate certificate in two consecutive semesters.
Students will learn about the roles of team member, team leader, and project manager. Students will cover all aspects of project management from the competitive bid process to scheduling to risk management and finally, to the closing of projects. An internship placement in the second semester will provide valuable workplace experience under the direction and guidance of a mentor.

Sports Management (Part-Time Evenings)

This programme is designed for those seeking to pursue a career in sports management. The subjects have been designed to provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to be effective sports managers. This is a 2 year diploma course awarded by BTEC – the British Training and Education Council, which prepares students for work in the leisure industry. The course emphasises both business and leisure studies. The programme is part of a suite of two awards covering an Advanced Certificate and an Advanced Diploma that are awarded after year 1 and year 2 respectively. This course is aimed at providing participants with the essential business knowledge for the successful management of a sports business, and/or to be able to manage and run their own business in the sports arena. Graduates of this course may find employment in leisure centres, sports organisations, youth and community organisations and private leisure organisations.

Visual Effects

This program is designed to introduce students to the various techniques used to create visual effects for film and television. The focus of the course is to explore the software tools used to create visual effects and issues involved in combining these effects with live action footage. The student’s final projects will be used to create a finished portfolio. Software taught in this course includes The Foundry's Nuke compositing program and Autodesk's Maya 3D package. Programs are normally offered twice per year.
